This Credit Card Giant Is Delivering For Shareholders

Since MasterCard (MA) missed the top and bottom line consensus estimates in its recently reported quarter, shares have dropped over 10% from all-time-highs. However, the credit card giant is still the fastest growing company in the industry and is increasing shareholder value in numerous ways. Will This Card Company Charge Ahead Of Its Competition In 2014?

Last year, shares of the two credit card leaders MasterCard (MA) and Visa (V) charged ahead. However, MasterCard was the clear leader, as the company grew revenue and EPS faster than Visa. The company's stock price reacted accordingly, significantly outperforming that of its larger peer.

However, recent earnings reports from both companies indicates that the tide may have finally turned in Visa's favor again. Click here to read why I think Visa could be set to outperform MasterCard in 2014. Enjoy!

The company remains the best and most efficient creator of new television content in the media industry. With a recent earnings report that showed solid year-over-year growth and continued momentum in the company's overseas expansion, shares of Discovery Communications are worth considering on recent weakness.

Nike's Biggest Mistake Ever

If you follow my writing at all, you know my biggest and most lucrative investment is Under Armour (UA). The athletic apparel, footwear and accessories-provider has one of the best brands in all of retail, a loyal and rapidly expanding consumer base and a terrific management team to back it up!

However, only a few years ago the company was still very small in terms of market capitalization and its business not very diverse. This begs the question, why did industry titan Nike (NKE) not acquire Under Armour when it had the chance?
